Employee Recognition and Award Scheme
This scheme is open to any person who works for Halton Borough Council. You can either self-nominate or nominate a person / team who is/are simply outstanding at what they do.
Employee of the Year
This award celebrates colleagues who have demonstrated an ‘above and beyond’ dedication and commitment to quality in carrying out their job responsibilities and who consistently deliver excellent performance, acting as a positive role model to others thus ensuring that the Council achieves its goals.
Learner of the Year
This award recognises colleagues that have undertaken learning & development to support them in fulfilling their potential and helping the Council to build a strong and capable workforce. This might include a qualification, on the job training, e-learning, taking on additional responsibilities or acting up in a more senior role.
This award seeks to recognise young adults, aged 24 and under, who bring energy, passion and enthusiasm to the workplace. They will have also shown commitment and determination to achieve their goals, but more importantly continually exceed expectations.
They are our stars of the future showing great potential in terms of both personal development and dedication.
Leading for Success
Whether you are a manager, supervisor, team leader or team member, this award recognises colleagues who have a positive influence on others. We are looking for employees who might mentor, support, coach or encourage others, taking time to listen to their teams or colleagues, and supporting and empowering them to solve problems, improve performance and achieve goals.
Team of the Year
This award celebrates the spirit of working together to deliver outstanding outcomes. This team will have worked together to improve services, deliver projects, improve customer service, achieve value for money or have introduced innovative solutions building on best practice.
This category includes groups of employees within the same service area or a group that has worked collaboratively on a project or a key initiative.
